3.1 These Images can be modified to create new images, however the resulting images will be subject to the same Terms and Conditions of Use that the images hosted in this site.
Why? To prevent the possibility that someone could claim the Rights to slightly modified versions of the images posted in this site.

Why? To avoid the use of this material to generate traffic in another website or been distributed as a "gift" for other purposes. Also to avoid any uncontrolled distribution that can lead to the appropriation of this material by a third party.

Why? To avoid the distribution of this material associate to very simple elements, as a way to camouflage a direct distribution of the images.

5. Free Projects
5.1 These Images can be used on free projects, as long as they don't generate direct or indirect benefits.
6. Commercial Purposes
6.1 Absolutely not trading with These Images in any way. To sell These Images to other people in places like Second Life it's no allowed and constitute a violation of Copyright. This limitation applies to any virtual world, website and other platforms.
6.2 These Images can be used in other creative projects (like environments, characters, objects, illustrations, web design etc.) with commercial purposes. However, the used images will be subject to the same Terms and Conditions of Use that the images posted in this site, even if strongly modified.
Why? When an image is modified, it could be just slightly touched up or strongly transformed. In many cases the difference between one extreme to the other is a matter of opinion. With this limitation, the artist keep the Rights to his/her creation, but the possibility that someone could claim the Rights to slightly modified versions of this material is prevented.
6.3 When These Images are used in commercial projects, these projects should be complex enough to have an artistic value by itself.
Why? To avoid the distribution of this material associate to very simple elements, as a way to camouflage a direct trading with the images.
7. Non digital projects
7.1 These Images can be used in not digital applications for commercial or personal use, like board games, t-shirts, book covers etc.
8. Video Games
8.1 These Images cannot be used in commercial video games, that is, video games that generate direct or indirect benefits.
Why? This limitation is based on a personal decision, as many of these textures were originally used on a commercial video game.
8.2 These Images can be used to to create free environments (levels) for commercial video games, that is, environments created without any profit in mind that uses as a platform an existing commercial video game. This is allowed as long as these environments are not going to be part of any commercial package and doesn't generate any direct or indirect benefits.
Why? In this way they can be used by amateurs that enjoy to create their own environments, or just want to promote their skills in order to find a job in the video game industry.
8.3 These Images can be used on free video games, that is, video games that doesn't generate any direct or indirect benefits. As an only exception, donations can be received for these projects.
8.4 These Images can be used to create a demo of a video game, whenever they're not included in a (final) commercial version and doesn't produce any direct or indirect benefits .
9. Charity Projects
9.1 These Images can be used in non-profit projects (including video games), which benefits are used to help pursuing certain goals considered "good causes", involving Charities, Civil/Human Rights, Crime Prevention, Education, Environmental, Health and Human Services, etc.
10.1 If you use These Images (or modified versions of them) in your project, you should include the author's name and a link to this site in the Credits. The information should look similar to this: "This project use images created by David Gurrea and published at http://www.davegh.com".
10.2 If this is not possible (not Credits are used), a text file with this information should be attached to the project. The text file should easily accessible.
10.3 Additionally, if the images are not an integral part of the project, that is, they can be extracted from it, a text file should be included in the same folder as the images. The text file should include the previous information plus a mention to the Terms and Conditions of use in this site. The text should look similar to this: "This project use images created by David Gurrea and published at http://www.davegh.com. The use of these images are subject to certain Terms and Conditions of Use that can be read at the same website".
Why? To avoid other people pretending to be the author of this material. Also to avoid the images for being extracted from the project and used by another person for a different purpose, without knowing the limitations of use of the original images.
